Sad weekend

The dreaded last weekend of the Stadium is here..

It housed the likes of Ruth, Lou, Joe D., Goose, Yogi, Murcer, Munson, Lilly, Lidle, A ROD, Jeter, Moose, Mo Rivera, O'Neill, Brosious, Bernie Williams, Tino, Donnie Baseball.. And many more.

It had many GREAT moments, like the 26 WS chamionships, Gerig's Speech, he 1998 season, Aaron Boone's HR, Jeter's DIVE into the stands, Flash's HR in the 13th inning Vs. Boston, And the forgotten 2004 ALCS

Let's say goodbye to the stadium in STYLE YANKEES! The Stadium DESERVES it.. Let's win the last 5 games in the stadium (3 W's away)

It is a shame they are getting rid of Yankee Stadium

Lot of history there

But at least the Yankees are building a stadium that is similar

Too bad the Tigers could not have done the same

Did Todd Jones ever get any saves at that stadium? I would guess so but Im not sure.

Comerica is a nice park though. I neer saw Tiger Stadium, so I can't really say anything about that.

My favorite part of the NEW Yankee Stadium is that it's going to look like the 1920's YS on the outside.

what I wonder is if they are going to take the white "gingerbread" trim from the scoreboard area (center field) and move it to the new stadium.
So what is going to be in its place? a parking lot?

I watched most of the game. I fell asleep in the middle but was able to see opening and closing ceremonies....
