The Red Wings' nine-game preseason schedule, announced Thursday, includes home games against Original Six teams Montreal, Boston and Toronto, and also Atlanta and Buffalo.

Dates for ticket sales to preseason games have not been announced.

Here is the schedule:

Sept. 24: vs. Montreal, at Joe Louis Arena, 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 25: vs. Boston, at Metro Centre, Halifax, Nova Scotia, time TBD

Sept. 26: vs. Boston, at Joe Louis Arena, 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 28: vs. Atlanta, at Joe Louis Arena, 5 p.m.

Sept. 30: at Montreal, at Bell Centre, time TBD

Oct. 1: at Atlanta, at Philips Arena, 7 p.m.

Oct. 3: vs. Toronto, at Joe Louis Arena, 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 4: at Toronto, at Air Canada Centre, 7 p.m.

Oct. 5: vs. Buffalo, at Joe Louis Arena, 5 p.m.

Training camp begins Sept. 19 with physicals, with the first on-ice scrimmages the next day.

The regular season schedule is expected to be announced Wednesday. The Wings will open the season Oct. 9 at Joe Louis Arena against Toronto.
