| Everyone's favorite $15,000,000 man is looking to be the most expensive sub-.200 hitter of all-time.
He entered today's game batting a robust .172 which is just one hot streak shy of .201.
In today's game he was brilliant - 0-4 with 3K's improving his batting average to .167!
He recently had a 3-9 stretch which hurt his chances but he's gone 0-11 since. 3-20 (.150) would be a great clip, especially if he were to get even fewer hits.
He entered today's game with a 47 OPS+ which is pretty good...for a pitcher. It's probably around 45 now - in other words 45% of league average :haha:

On base percentage plus slugging percentage. OPS+ is the adjusted version where average league-wide is 100. Over 100 is good (110 is 10% better than average, etc.) and less than 100 is bad. 45 is terrible.

| UPDATE:
Average sits at .166
You have to give him some credit, he's consistent. Sine this thread was opened in May, his batting average has been between .166 and .172 in every post in this thread.

| It appears Andruw has lost his battle with the Mendoza line. He would have to go 11-11 to get to .200. but he hasn't been in a game since 9/9 where he went 0-4. | |
