| This is a pretty nerdy, stupid joke but here it goes....
There are 10 kinds of people, some understand binary and some don't!

| Yes the 1st digit = 2s and the 2nd = 1s so a 1+0 binary = 2+0 decimal = 2
The 8 bit processor (origional would have been 8 0s each place from the right going left is the binary number times 2 or
128 + 64 + 32 + 16 + 8 + 4 + 2 + 1 0000 0010 = 2 0 = no or off or no 128, no 64, no 32, no 16, no 8, no 4, a 2, no 1 = 2 or off, off, off, off, off, off, on, off = 2
This is where they cane up with the 1 and 0 for on and off switches on computer equipment, since in binary code a 0 represents no power and 1 represents power on!
Crazy stuff, but computers are truthfully dumb. They only know power and no power so man had to try to make a translation table so when a computer came up with a on or off state, man new it equalled something meaningful to us.
Some day, if anyone wants to know where all these wierd bits, bytes, megabytes of memory terms come from, I can make a thread explaining this stuff. Just know computers are very complicated devices and to really be a low level computer programmer takes a lot of work! (I have had to learn over 12 computer languages through the years), thank God we have english like modern high level languages today to tell computers what to do!
