The original is here (it is a continuation of yesterday's thread - today's game starts at post 82).

OK, here's the lucky thread. I think we should continue it for today's game.

or maybe it was due to fact that I had to quit
watching after the third inning in order to
let my son do some kind of project. I have
to admit that I was somewhat sanguine about
our chances at that point. So maybe I should
just watch from the sidelines until we lose
again.

at least tonight I can place some of the blame
on Wakefield. The knuckler is nasty tonight.
A bright note are the three base runners.
Sooner or later that will catch up to him.

I love the patience the hitters have shown tonight. However, they're not picking up Wakefield's pitches.

I say if we can't get any runs before the 5th inning, we're going to lose.

Nate's brain fails him everytime. He simply can't stay focused for 9 innings. What did he have - 40 pitches that inning?

And Cabrera can't hit Wakefield.

Should have taken him out in the 6th and let Beltran go in the 7th.

Couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

10 hits and 7 walks - great performance pitchers!

Need a heart transplant for the heart of the order.

Either that or finally pull the plug on the Sheffield hitting 3rd/Cabrera hitting 5th ordeal. It's a joke.

Sheffield with a clutch GIDP costs us a run. Ordonez flies out (would've been a SF if not for the GIDP). Oh well.

1-8 here we come!

Hey...here is what we expected...deep down.

Most of the hitters hitting and a TERRIBLE pitching staff.

Chuck Hernandez needs to do SOMETHING...but, what can he do. I think a bunch of those guys are just no good. Miner? Beltran? Bazardo? I don't think any of these guys will amount to anything.

All the records we thought we were going to set this year...who'd a thunk it'd be the 'most walks by a pitching staff in a season' record?

Score 2, give up 4 the next half inning.

Score 1, give up 4 the next half inning.

Score 3, give up 4 the next half inning.

Score 0, give up 0 the next half inning (5 times).

STOP SCORING!

Mediocre? How about worst in the AL? Tie for worst (w/Atl) in the ML.

Proof is in the pudding. We are ALL placing all our hopes on Cruceta.

I hope he is sufficient. These guys are terrible.

(btw....I think Bazardo's era equals his age, right now)

If you dump Bazardo, Grilli, and Miner (baseball's answer to the 3 Stooges), bullpen is fine.

But we have those dimwits in the pen so we have a cra.ptacular bullpen

I've had enough watching this debacle. JL should look himself in the mirror after tonight. Even an idiot could not have messed this one up worse than what he's done.

ERAs of the guys we've seen today...

Robertson: 7.84
Miner: 9.00
Beltran: 5.40
Bazardo: 24.00

That's a winning recipe if you ask me!

The worst hitting teams must look ahead on their schedule to when they will play us.
With this pitching staff and these ridiculous walks, they are a hitters dream.
We could get anyone out of a hitting slump. Maybe we should have played ourselves, several days ago.

...and Sheff needs to get knocked down the order.

<I know he will - that's why he's in there and that's why the save is the most moronic stat in baseball. It'd serve him right if this inning took forever and they couldn't use him tomorrow when they need him.

EDIT: We lose!
