Bots

forgive my ignorance, but what exactly do the bots do on this site? Did we have any choice in the matter of having them here or not?

Bots look at the site and send the information to search engines. In theory people can find our site through Yahoo. If you're worried about bots reading certain stuff, fear not - they can NOT read PMs or anything you put as a hidden message (you know, the little-used feature that requires you to post to be able to read it...)
