| Before continuing with classic movies, I thought I'd try a newer film. This is the third time I've attempted to watch this but the first two were dubbed in Italian for some reason so I didn't make it very far. This version is indeed the English version (which is the real version).
The movie is just over 3 hours long so the review won't be ready for a while.

| And that movie is over.
It's not really the most cheerful movie you'll ever see.
Despite being made in 1993, the film is shot almost entirely in black and white. As I watched it I thought to myself the movie would be much less effective in color. I never understood why people could prefer black and white if color was available until now.
I don't really have a whole lot to say about this. The message is pretty powerful and it's a lot like a documentary. The actors do a good job.
Despite being over 3 hours long, the film doesn't seem excessively long. This isn't the greatest movie I've ever seen, but it still does a great job.
86/100 B
UP NEXT: I'll return to old movies with A Streetcar Named Desire

| I think I gave it a 86 which is only a B. I guess you liked it a hair better than me.
A+ - that's a tough grade to get. Out of all the movies I've seen since I started keeping track on here I've only given out one A+ which was to The Maltese Falcon starring Humphrey Bogart. Even it only got a low A+ (97%).

| I did 2 speech presentations on the Holocaust in high school, and then my graduate thesis was about anti-Semitism in Nazi propaganda. I've been to Dachau twice. No need to relive it by seeing this movie. | |

| Its a great movie. Rather graphic, but really displays the intent the Germans had to rid the world of the Jewish race during the Holocaust. We havent finished watching it yet, since History class is only and hour and 20 minutes, but its really good so far. | |
