Indians at the plate: Jhonny Peralta put the Indians on the scoreboard with a two-run double in the fourth inning. Travis Hafner tied the game again with a tape-measure home run over the right-field scoreboard in the sixth.

Tigers at the plate: Gary Sheffield's third home run of the spring opened the scoring in the first inning. His two-run homer scored Placido Polanco, whose two hits on the afternoon included an RBI single in the fifth scoring Brandon Inge.

Indians on the mound: Starter Fausto Carmona continued his string of solid starts against Detroit, allowing two earned runs on six hits over six innings. Thirteen of his 18 outs came on ground balls. Closer Joe Borowski followed with a scoreless inning on one single.

Tigers on the mound: Yorman Bazardo, who is, barring a trade, the favorite for the final spot in Detroit's bullpen, tossed three perfect innings in his start. Tim Byrdak's struggles continued with two runs on two hits and two walks in his inning of work. Jason Grilli and Todd Jones pitched a scoreless inning apiece, while Denny Bautista surrendered Hafner's long-distance homer.

Up next for Tigers: The Tigers travel to Viera, Fla., for a 1:05 p.m. ET game against the Nationals at Space Coast Stadium on Monday. Nate Robertson, who has allowed one run over 14 innings, is scheduled to make his fifth start of the spring. Jason Bergmann is slated to start for Washington.

Up next for Indians: The Indians return to Chain of Lakes Park in Winter Haven, Fla., for a 1:05 p.m. ET game against the Braves on Monday. Jake Westbrook is scheduled to start opposite Buddy Carlyle.
