That's such a sweet song! Did you listen to "Eve of Destruction" by Barry McGuire? That's a pretty cool song, too. Oh yeah, on the links in my other thread watch the video that goes with "American Pie"...it's hillarious!

I need to listen to it some more, the little bit I heard sort of freaked me out..... I'll might check that out.

It's not a scary song - Barry McGuire is actually a Christian singer (not at the time, but he is now). In fact, "Eve of Destruction" is his only non-Christian song he sings regularly. Perhaps the video (which sucked...I hate the videos idiots create on youtube) scared you. The song is a Vietnam protest song. Most of it makes sense today. Well maybe not:

They finally fixed that...

Another fun fact, his voice wasn't supposed to sound like that. He was going to sing it in a less rough voice later but that version was leaked and everyone loved it. He never fixed it.
