thanks for the pic, gogetem. This is beyond sad. Great testament to the apathy of the times that nothing anyone could do would save it from destruction.

The interesting thing is if you zoom in, it looks like there are some people on the field. I hope kids will play some ball there.

Before last Saturday Night's game; I stopped by the stadium. only game I went to this year; Had been working most of this year up north , just got back to Trashy Park; long story on that;

Anyhow; I went on the field, still cool; be nice if they did something with it

There was a group of people working on rehabbing the field for use, but last I heard the police chased them away. Such a bunch of bullcrap! Let the people play on the field, it is not costing the city anything since people are mowing it and fixing it for free!

Good will win out here. Too much love and care about the place for it to wither up and disappear!

Figures; The city would rather have it be 10 feet high of weeds; garbage and debris than people mowing and cleaning it free of charge; no wonder Detroit has become such a joke among cities;
