Pudge throws a runner out, he's still got it. Now if he could just get a couple hits...

People were worried about Bondo last start. I read that he didn't even throw his out pitch once - the slider. He pitched only fastballs and changeups. I think Bondo is going to rebound this year. 3.80 - 4.00 era 16 wins.

I tried to get into that site at the end of last year, but I just didn't care for the format. I wish I did like it more than the MLB one, cause this one has it's deficiencies, too.

I'm sticking to this board, at least till all the good posters disappear!

The format is a little different there but it does offer the use of BBC codes which is kind of handy.

I still post at both places but with this new format here I post very little over here now.

Yeah, it's sooooo sloow here. Other than that, I don't mind it. All the bells and whistles on the other site are nice, but I'm kinda computer illiterate, so it's a bit of a waste for me. Plus, when it started anyway, everyone was chatting about their personal lives all the time. That got old quick for me. I felt like I was on "Tiger BEAT" scene (for those of you old enough to remember that magazine), like all the posters were between the ages of 16-20.

Not that there's anything wrong with that, and maybe it's changed, but I'm cool over here. Nice mix of people.

I've never heard of that magazine, but I think I know what you mean. We have 115 members now so there's less of that chat and more baseball chat.

As for the game at hand it's 2-0 Tigers in the 4th. Bonderman had 3 shutout innings and Vasquez is pitching.

It's tough to follow this with gameday being so worthless.

I think that was because there was not a lot of people there yet. It will eventually shift topics to focus more on baseball. Also some people like that aspect of the board. As long as we talk baseball I'm happy.

Yeah, I hear ya. Some message boards here, like the Sox site, have a General discussion area and a Baseball discussion area, which is nice. I understand that people want to talk other stuff w/ their baseball buds. I'll be back over there to try it again sometime.

I'm just used to the format here.

VV gives up 2, tie ball game.

I'm rooting for Virgil, but does anyone think he has ML caliber stuff??

Haven't seen it yet, personally. When Leland says things like, "if he keeps the ball down in the zone, and hits his spots..." that to me is wishful thinking. Might as well say he stuff his marginal.

I think Vasquez may one day be a good pitcher on a MLB team. Maybe he does just need to keep the ball down. I guess I will take JL word because I have not seen him pitch enough.

I'm a big VV fan. Keeping the ball down is one thing, but the biggest concern is left handed hitters. (and of course the 2 guys that hurt him today - Crawford lefty, Aybar switch hitter batting on left side fit that criteria). Once he finds out a way to get through lefty's he'll be fine.

I think that with Tampa'a acquisitions Torri, and Johan both leaving the Central. Yes the East is better this year. Heck the West is close.
