I took my class on a trip that followed the book Band of Brothers.
We hit London, Normandy, Paris, Bastogne, Arnhem, Amsterdam and Munich.
It was pretty amazing. We were in the forest where E company fought the Battle of the Bulge, and the conditions were similar to that which they portrayed in the video....snowy and the foxholes they dug are still there. We actually had a guide who was an 8 year old in Bastogne when the battle broke out and who acted as a consultant on the BoB movie.
My students have been using the term life changing too....I hope so, but they are already pretty good kids. | |
