Neifi over Omar is just plain ludicrous.

Well, not to sound like a broken record but...
Verlander best be on his game today these guys are nothing to scoff at. If he doesn't pitch in the 60-70% strike range then Tigers are gonna be in trouble. I'm tired of Verlander throwing 54% of his pitches for strikes. It has to end and it has to end now! A win tonight and a Indians loss and we're back in business. Go Tigers.

Leyland is all alone in his preference of Neifi over Omar.

I was perusing stats to see if neifi had a great history against suppan, or something like that. Nope. he hit .200 against him in 2005. Don't know prior to that, but I'm guessing it's not much different.
I'd rather see Infante in there over Neifi.
Interesting - Brewers DH is batting 9th.

Neifi the Dopester is what I'm going to call him from now on. Is that guy still around that wrote for the Free Press?? Iffy the Dopester?
Anyway, let's leave Neifi alone. It's obvious we're stuck with his weak @$$ for the foreseeable future.
Go Tigers!!!

NO question Verlander will pitch a great game. The weather is perfect and the fans are pumped. GO Tigs.

Looks like you got your wish. 2 k's and a fly ball. 3 up 3 down. We got to get Bondo on the same first inning program.

Who knows.
I saw birds during the Indians game the other day. Must be something around the lakes that is bringing them inland the past week or so.. (??)

Just decided to check a little bit out...
verlander has thrown 61.5% of balls for strikes that's about even with Durbin who's at 61.0%
Maroth is the worst on the team in that stat with 57% balls thrown for strikes. OUCH
Robertson is at a slightly better 62%
and the winner of the group is Bonderman who's at an impressive 66.3%. Way to go Bondo that definately earns some sort of 6-0 record...
oh and just for comparison -- Beckett is 66% Peavy 64% Sabathia 67%
Bondo's is quite impressive. Maroth needs a lot of work. Verlander - although 5 percentage points seems miniscule - really needs to pick up that stat.

Thanks for the stats. Interesting stuff. I wonder what bondo's stat would be minus the first inning
Yes, Maroth needs to get it going, for sure.

Those were some NASTY changeups from Verlander. Very impressive.
