| Here is Game 2 of the 2006 World Series. The original is located here (the title is incorrect, this is indeed Game 2). | |

I don't know that I like this lineup. think switching it around a bit might be better after last night's fiasco.
Is Leyland doing his friend LaRussa a favor or something? I don't get Santiago batting at all. Surely Shelton + Casey + Guillen is better than Santiago + Casey + Guillen?
I hope the tigers put a few runs on the board quickly tonight!

Clearly we're a terrible team so we must cheat. Seriously, though I like the scoreless inning by Rogers. He gave up a hit but that's what he does and its runs that count. Options Reply

The Tigers are getting better swings tonight. Their timing is coming back. 5 of their first 9 hitters have base hits. Just win the game and even the series. That double play hurt. Why didn't Granderson try to bunt for a base hit in that situation?

There once was a team in Motown For years everyone could mow them down Then Jimmy came in with a smoke and a glare Told the Tigers that they could win rings if they dare
So they played like the gamers they were Best in Baseball the fans dared to think They stumbled a bit but the Tigers then bit All those who had said that they stink
Now in the series are they Only tiny red birds in the way Can they go all the way with their style of play? They can and they will their fans say Options Reply

You'd think after talking about how "Steve" was cheating all game long they'd be able to remember his name isn't Steve. What's even more pathetic is it's not like there is a Steve on either team and Steve Rogers isn't another person. I could see calling him Kenny Rogers (singer) if his name was actually Steve Rogers. Please exit the ride to the left and thank you for coming to RollerCoasterLand sponsored by Todd Jones.
He is better than bungie jumping to lift my heartrate.

Gee, I don't know how you feel, but I really have some mixed emotions about the end of that game. Obviously, I'm glad we won. But I cannot understand Leyland's keeping Jones in there. He almost blew it all. In fact, I was thinking he was going to do just that. Options Reply

Remember earlier how so many people were saying that Rogers always fades after the All Star break? Well, he struggled for a little while. But then he was terrific down the stretch. So much for the second half slump syndrome. Options Reply

Everything that the so-called experts have said about Kenny very much mirrors what they have said about the Tigers. He'll fade. We'll fade. He won't do good in October. We won't do good in October. I say the ump should have smelled his hands Pine tar has an odor no? Touch his hands pine tar is sticky no? Umps need to go to mommy school we all know to sniff our kids hands when they come out of the bathroom to see if they washed with soap. Send umps to mommy school Options Reply
