| Global warming or not, pollution is bad....recycle! Don't dump used motor oil on the ground (not that that would cause global warming). _________________ Coming Soon: A better signature!

| Also, don't buy water in individual throw away plastic bottles, the bottles don't break down in the dumps. Either get the gallons or better yet, get the counter top or under counter filters, or at minimum, the ones that go on your faucet. We purchased an Aquasana on the counter unit and an under counter kit. it comes out to about 9 cents per gallon for very pure water. Most people don't know that their water is filled with hormones, drugs and other pollution that is not tested for by cities, but when outside groups have done the more in depth testing, it was unbelievable what all is found in our water. See following Compare Water Filters chart to see how they rate .

| We have a filter in our fridge so when we get water from the ice machine it comes out good.....much better than regular tap water. Plastic bottles don't even recycle all that well from what I understand. Plus it takes oil to make plastic and oil isn't a renewable resource and it's not like we're on good terms with the countries we get oil from. As for buying bottled water - while it generally tastes good, it's not regulated so theoretically it could be less safe than tap water which is regulated. _________________ Coming Soon: A better signature!

Very true about bottled water. Many companies just take regular tap water and fill plastic bottles. The ones who do filter it are unregulated so who knows what you are getting. Many big cities are putting large taxes on bottled water to try to slow down the use and landfill problems. And like you said, they don't recycle well. |
