How come Clemens gets a free pass?

Although I don't care about the Mitchell Report (or steroids in general all that much) why is it that Barry Bonds is so hated while Roger Clemens is beloved by the media and fans alike?

Clemens was named the second most times on the Mitchell Report (after Bonds), is rude to the media, doesn't play a full season or travel with the team when possible (not even Bonds is guilty of this), and has thrown out his fair share of racial hate speech.

Why do we love him but hate Bonds?

Clemens also did the most ESPN sportscenter promos 5 of all pro athletes in sports

Clemens is a dick! Maddux is a much better role model for the youngsters to be like! Maddux Rules!

I think there's more controversy surrounding Bonds because of the whole 'breaking the record' thing. He's just better known to all of us.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that's when my friend Suzi and I started saying that... we got all the dvd's and watch that show together once a week... on the phone... we need lives, desperately

Oh, okay. I watch that show, too (I only have the first 3 seasons on DVD though ) so I guess that makes sense.
