Was watching QVC last night...they actually had a show about 2008 being the last year at Yankee Stadium! What is up with that?! I thought Fenway would get replaced before this one!

He was fine to race because other horses have raced with worse injuries.

Yeah, that makes it right. It's okay to torture the horse because others have been tortured more. With that logic it's okay for me to kill someone in their sleep painlessly because others have killed people using more violent measures.

Hope they don't find something seriously wrong with him. The track vets said they say nothing wrong with him, but the jockey must have noticed something was wrong, or he never would have pulled him up like that!

I don't mind them racing healthy horses, but they knew he had that hoof problem!

And they never should have raced the horses in that high humidity and heat!!!

He wasn't being tortured. That was a very minor injury and shouldn't have affected him very much. Maybe it did. Maybe he had something else wrong. Maybe he said " Censored

The injury was minor but you have no way of knowing how the horse felt. I mean if it was a person with a cracked bone in their foot and they said "I'm good to run" then fine, run them. But maybe the horse was in excruciating pain despite the fact the injury was "minor".

They really can't tell us all that easily...and they won't due to the "survival of the fittest" instinct....

True, but just the simple fact that he didn't show one sign of his foot hurting is an indication that it wasn't his foot that was bothering him. He didn't limp or favor that foot one bit even after running a mile and a half on it. I believe something else was wrong with him, but it could have very well been his foot. I guess only Mr. Ed could have told us for sure :haha:

Anyways, I was just pointing out that he was not tortured by running on it. Torture would have been if he was obviously having problems with it and them making him go out there anyways. He showed absolutely no signs of being lame.

Maybe. That owner is one SOB. I think it had more to do with the fact that he didn't get his last steroid shot.

If it is like that ass who snuck the Cleveland Browns out, in the middle of the night, and moved them to Balt. (to become my hated Ravens) then maybe they can get another team!

I remember reading that article about Carlos when he stated that Seattle is so remote from everywhere else that the teams put in unbelievable travel miles!
