Tora! Tora! Tora!

This was an interesting film. I saw it with my parents and my dad NEVER WENT TO MOVIES! The only two movies that I know he ever paid to go see was "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest" (he was a HS Phych and History Teacher and he took all his Psych classes to see that film to expose the students to the conditions of mental hospitals and their patients during that time), and "Tora! Tora! Tora!" He was a WWII vet and Tora was the most accurate film according to him, so he HAD to see it.

I have not watched the film since that time, so I will have to watch it again to give it a rating, but from what I remember, it was an incredible film.

As one reviewer put it:
Quote :
Simply put, TORA! TORA! TORA! deals with all the events, mistakes (both minor and MAJOR), people involved and attitudes leading up to and during the air raid on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Though not shown, we even have the general feeling of the U.S. President and the Japanese Emperor. Nothing is missed in this movie. It is as close to the actual depiction of Pearl Harbor you can get.

More to come...
