Charted 12 February, 1949

Lavender
Blue", also called "Lavender's blue", is an English folk song dating to
the 17th century. This version, sung by Burl Ives, was featured in the
Walt Disney movie SO DEAR TO MY HEART in 1949. It was Ives' second hit
song, and reintroduced it to popularity in the 20th century. Burl's
first hit was BLUE TAIL FLY, recorded with the Andrews Sisters in 1948.
