Bonderman, Thames shines in rehab stints
Detroit News Staff

Jeremy Bonderman threw eight shutout innings in another rehab start for Triple-A Toledo on Sunday.

Bonderman, on the disabled list since the beginning of the season because of right shoulder surgery, allowed six hits and struck out five in a 6-0 victory over the Charlotte Knights.

Marcus Thames (rib cage), also on a rehab stint, went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a RBI single for Toledo.

He may have thrown 8 shutout innings, but his velocity is still not there according to: Craig Vanderkam, Toledo Mud Hens

Craig Vanderkam wrote:
Bonderman’s velocity was similar to that of his last outing; his fastball on just a few occasions reached 87 mph, but was most consistently between 83-84 mph. His slider had a sharp break and was clocked most often at 77 mph.

I mean, he's throwing, and getting outs, so I think as long as that's happening, he can go.

Thames should be back soon too Yay2

Goooo Bondo!
