That is a good reason why US automakers should not get a bailout by the Federal Government

| Last year it was the Chevy Malibu. It is a very nice car. If I had the money, I would probably go Malibu! | |

A Honda; A Ford Truck And Several more foreign cars? Sounds like you have enough cars for a car lot there Catbox

| We enjoy our 6-year-old Toyota that was made in upstate New York. I just hope Ford keeps working on its alternative fuel cars. | |

Sounds like you have enough cars for a car lot there Catbox Well there's several people in my family. We all need a car to drive. We have two Hondas, a Ford, and a Hyundai. I don't think we've ever had an American car since I was born. I know after my parents were married they had a Pinto, but when I was born they drove a Geo Prizm which was only somewhat American. My dad used to have a 1966 Thunderbird but he got rid of that a few years ago since he never drove it.

And they don't make it in that color? Hello - you advertise the car to look like that car and you show clips of the movie but you don't make that color? Just another reason why Ford needs someone with half a brain to take over. I guarantee if Henry Ford was still alive you could get that car in that same dark green. We were killing time at a Ford dealer once and I mentioned that to the guy when he tried to sell me a Mustang. His reply... "If you buy the car you could always get it repainted" Umm...that's expensive. Generally you don't buy a brand-new car thinking you have to get a paint job.

My great-grandmother owned a ton of stock in Chrysler and my mom got some of it when she died. I have no idea how much my mom ended up with or what it was worth but I know she sold it immediately and used the money to buy a new Toyota. This was at least 10 years ago. Good thing she didn't hang onto it - that stock isn't worth the paper it's printed on. ---------- Back to American vehicles, I would never buy a foreign truck...not that I'd buy a truck. If I did it would be American though. I would also never buy a used non-American vehicle over 10 years old. I'm not really a huge fan of old cars, but if I ever decided I wanted one it would be American.
