Hall gets uniform Lions' Hanson wore setting mark

DETROIT -- The uniform Detroit Lions kicker Jason Hanson wore and the football he used setting the NFL career record for 50-yard field goals have been donated to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Canton, Ohio, hall says it got the ball and Hanson's jersey, pants, shoes and sox Wednesday.

Hanson kicked a 51-yard field goal Dec. 15 in the first quarter of the Lions' 31-21 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. It was his 41st career field goal of 50 yards or longer -- one more than the total for Morten Andersen.

The field goal also matched Andersen's single-season record of eight of at least 50 yards. Hanson was 8-for-8 at that distance this season.

The items will be displayed in the hall's gallery.

Poor Hanson, he's stuck with the Lions for so long and look at what they've accomplished for him

Think, the Lions once had Barry Sanders and Jason Hanson on the same team. They still found a way to not win a Super Bowl.

Too bad the Redskins kicked the Lions ass in the NFC Title Game
