I always thought the idea of putting a hole in my body and filling it with a piece of metal was a little...disgusting.

On a side note, I got my sister $50 earrings on sale for $12 for Christmas. I also got her a matching necklace (also $50 on sale for $12). It has her birthstone and everything.

I must be weird... I figure that if God intended me to have a hole in my ear, He would have put it there. I am more old fashioned. My relatives normally used clip on ear-rings and not the pierced type. I don't even own any, accept some pierced ones that I used to sell.

You can also get plastic and glass and I think even wooden ones.... if that makes it any better.... The earrings I have in now are really small plugs that are clear red plastic with rings of black on the end (to keep from falling out)

I tried clips for so long and most of them gave me a headache, so I waited until I was 23 for pierced.

She's harder to buy for. I didn't get him much - just a 3 disc DVD set on the Tennessee Titans (his favorite football team). It was like $20 or something.

I got both of my parents gifts though.
