Wow...

Wow... God it's been a really long time since I've been around these parts. I've missed you all so much, but there's been so much going on in my life over the course of the last summer that I just haven't been able to find the time.

This is a sort of 'I'm Alive' post.

And a bit of a prayer request as well. Within the last week my family's gone through two major 'shifts' in our lives. My grandmother was hospitalized last week and needed emergency surgery to stop internal bleeding caused by an ulcer.

Then on Monday night my sister was in a serious car accident and broke her neck. She's stable now and her spinal cord wasn't damaged, but she's going to be in traction for the next three months.

I so wish I could've come back with better news.

Thanks so much you guys. My sister was actually, in a really bizarre way, really blessed. The vertebrae that broke and the way that it broke is the location and the sort of injury that's caused by a noose when someone's hanged. She was something like a few millimeters away from it being a fatal injury.

God was so good. I guess the guy that was behind her that saw the accident was a paramedic and he held her head to stabilize her neck until the ambulance got there.

Wow, God was looking out for her! He made sure a paramedic was there, which saved her life. Don't tell me there isn't a God looking out for us!
