I have a retinal disorder.

It's sort of scary knowing that:

"Macular hole - a small break in the macula that usually happens to people over 60
Floaters - cobwebs or specks in your field of vision"

My doctor told me that both of those can possibly happen to me.

I have had floaters since age 5, when they did eye surgery. After a while you don't even notice them. In bright sun, I can see them, if I try. But it took awhile to get used to them..

Just have in mind a good retinal specialist that you can get to within a day. Have you been checked out by one?

It almost seems like I have floaters, I do see the cobwebs quite a bit, just no one ever told me anything about it.

I've never seen floaters before, but he said there is a strong possibility that I can get them.

Only if my rentia starts becoming unattached or a small hole forms on either of my eyes.

I wouldn't worry to much about it, especially if it's something that can be corrected by laser surgery. Get regular checkups with a specialist and that way they can catch anything early so it will be easier to treat. They will probably be able to correct the vision while there at it too. No more contacts!!!

My vision is terrible, I've worn glasses since third grade and contacts since fifth or sixth.

I love glasses. I have contacts too, but my glasses are the 60's style dirty librarian type so they are fun. If I ever got my vision corrected I'd probably still wear frames with clear plastic lens just for fun sometimes.
