89 degrees at Game Time: But 5 of 6 umps wore jackets

It was 93 in LA this afternoon; 89 at Game Time; { Even right now; the temp is still 72 degrees in LA and the game ended more than a hour ago!]


But that didn't stop the base and foul line umpires from wearing jackets


What the hell is wrong with them ?

Were they smoking crack before the game

89 fucking degrees for a 5:20 PST game and they out there dressed like it 59 degrees;

I was sweating just watching them on TV. Joe Buck even made several references to the hot night in LA during the game

89 degrees!

They need to go see a doctor or something if they have to wear a jacket in 89 degree weather

Same goes for any fans sitting in the stands wearing a jacket too

What I don't understand is this same umpire crew wore short sleeve shirts for the first two games in Philly when temps were in the mid 70s at game time.

What? Did the lose their shirts at a Korean Laundry in LA or at the LA airport when they arrived from Philly

Give me a break

Even temps in the mid 70s would be too warm for a jacket


But 89 degrees! that takes the cake
