Hurricane Ike is about 165 miles SE of Galveston Texas with maximum substaned winds of 105 miles an hour; It is at high Category 2 status; may become a Category 3 before it makes landfall

Hurricane Warning in effect from Morgan City, Louisiana to Baffin Bay, Texas; with Tropical Storm Warnings for the SE coast of Louisiana and Mississippi coast, this includes New Orleans area,


It should hit the upper Texas coast late tonight or early on Saturday Morning

Hurricane Ike is about 10 miles South Southeast of Galveston. It is a high level Category 2

Winds around 110 miles an hour;


High Winds, Strong Surge, Heavy Rain, and Tornadoes are possible as it makes landfall early this morning

It's so scary, I know that the wind and rain are comng toward us as well.

But it has done a lot of damage

3 million people without power in Texas, 400,000 in Louisiana

Damage to the Texans Stadium

As well as lots of flooding and property damage

Heavy Rains and Gusty Winds continue to pelt the area

Monday Night Football will not be played in Houston


It either will be postponed or played somewhere else

According to ESPN

Still lots of rain and wind;

Ike still a strong Tropical Storm

People may be without power for several days, maybe weeks

Let's hope this is the last major Hurricane of the season
