Ex-files: After the deals
Tracking how players moved before the deadline are faring

After a summer hailstorm of trades that made huge impressions on the baseball landscape this Trade Deadline season, all the big names have had their opportunities to make first impressions with their new clubs.

So far, so good for new arrivals, for the most part.

On Friday, Manny Ramirez landed in Hollywood with dreadlocks (at least temporarily) intact, and greeted a Dodger Stadium standing ovation with a couple of singles. Jason Bay, or perhaps Jason Being Jason as the man taking over left field at Fenway might become, collected a triple and scored a couple of runs, including the game-winner. Not to be outdone, Ken Griffey Jr. made his presence known in the White Sox lineup with a couple of knocks himself.

And let's not forget the biggest splash of a newbie, turned in by the biggest pitcher around: CC Sabathia, off to a brilliant start with the Brewers after leaving Cleveland and the periods in his first name behind. Rich Harden's done what he can do to counter in Chicago, without as much luck in the win column as Sabathia, but nobody's complaining on the South Side.

Here's a breakdown of the notable names who were traded before the July 31 Trade Deadline, where they've gone and what they've done since joining the contending teams that picked them up:


AMERICAN LEAGUE
