Wakko's Wish (1999) Empty

This is an animated movie from the tv show Animaniacs. This movie was never shown in theaters despite positive ratings in test screenings. Instead, this was released direct-to-video. It was the last thing made that included these characters, so it's like a series finale.

A normal Animaniacs show featured 3 shorts with different characters and the shorts didn't intervene. This movie moves away from that and has all the characters interacting. It features one plot with several subplots. Music was a big part of the show and also with this movie, although it was a bit overdone. Parodies were also a big part of the show and this movie has a short Citizen Kane parody in the beginning as well as a few others.

The main plot is that a wishing star fell from the sky and whoever touches it first gets a wish. Everyone has a different wish so they race to the star so they can touch it first. Wakko eventually touches it to give Dot an operation while also returning prosperity to the town. Everyone else indirectly gets their wish too. Except for the mime. Sad

Overall, it was enjoyable, especially to an Animaniacs fan like myself. Just like the tv show, this isn't just targeted towards children, but adults as well. So any Animaniacs fan or any animated movie fan that enjoys slapstick comedy would like this movie.

70/100 even though it probably doesn't qualify.

It won't but it will make the database for movies (see post 2).
