This Alfred Hitchcock film is a murder mystery. The film opens with a man in a car telling a woman about how he is going to be suspected of killing his lover's husband. The rest of the film is basically a couple of people trying to investigate the murder and get evidence to prove who really killed the man. The first twenty minutes or so are great but it really slows down from there and remains rather dull for the majority of the film. The end picks up but that's about it.

The actors in this film include Marlene Dietrich along with some lesser-known, mostly British actors. Dietrich does fairly decent but nothing overly-impressive.The other people are adequate, but nothing memorable.

This film generally receives mediocre reviews but after the first few minutes I was hoping for something great. Instead, it's just a slightly below average film.

70/100
