| So I've been watching a lot of shows about ghosts lately (because they've been on TV in abundance).
So, I'm curious now. Have any of you ever had experiences of the unexplainable or paranormal? Any ghosties in your closets or basements?
My own ghost stories revolve mostly around my grandfather's house. Keys moved without anyone touching them, something knocked on the floors and ceilings, you could always hear someone rushing up the footsteps (when no one was there), weird reflections in pictures, shadows walking through walls, Ouji boards talked. You name it, it probably happened to at least one of us.

| Most "suspect" houses seem to be connected by unexpected deaths of people who had not made a commitment to Christ, or God.
My unsaved dad died of a sudden heart attack in the new house we had built in florida.
There were times our burgler alarm would go off for no reason, and when checked, nothing was wrong. We lived in that house 8 years and that was the only problem we had.
Two years after selling the house, we visited the folks who bought it from us, and they asked us if anyone had died in the house... We asked why, and they said they saw and heard wierd things at night in the house. We finally had to tell them that my dad died in the living room 6 weeks after the home was built. They must not have had too bad of a time, they still live in the house 16 years later!
The house we live in now was my grandfathers house. He died in it in 1991 (but was saved). We movd into it in 1992 and never have had any paranormal things happen here.

| I think the new owners may have had a pastor come in and bless the house.
I would love to go on a search with a paranormal group. I am a christian, but I do believe in people being controled by demons, since it is in the Bible. I think many "haunted houses" are actually demons messing around with people.

| You can bless a house!
But if a house is possessed; it can make it worse.
My Aunt's house was haunted, and the priest did a exocism on it.
It brought out a violent reaction.
We were over her house; And we were downstairs; Suddenly we heard loud noises coming from the upstairs.
We all went up there and it looked like someone ransacked the place.
furniture turned over, mattress lying on the floor.
That was freaky | |

| I don't know the history of my grandfather's house, except that there was a house on the land before it and it burned down (no one died in the fire though). It is possible something had happened on the land itself though.
Anyway, one of the best stories I can think of is what happened when my brother was about twelve or thirteen. We both see demons/ghosts/spirits what have you (I'm a born-again Christian, so I call it the discernment of spirits, it's a gift of the Holy Ghost). But the first time my brother ever saw anything was down at grandpa's and he described it like a demon watching from the ceiling fan. Well, he made the mistake of not praying for God's protection first before trying to pray the demon away and it attacked him. (Lesson numero uno: ALWAYS pray for protection from God before trying to tell anything it doesn't have the right to be here... because as long as IT thinks it belongs, well, it's going to take being given the shove a little personally.)
He had a fever of almost 103 all week the following week. It didn't go away until he told my mom what happened and she prayed that whatever had attacked him leave him alone and so on.
In other news of the bizarre: I've seen Death. He's a stoic, well-dressed gentlemen with no eyeballs.

That was freaky If I ever need an exorcist the only person I will ever call is my Aunt Delphine (even though she kind of hates us now). As far as that stuff goes, she's the one to talk to.

| I think our last house was haunted...but then again, sometimes I think the ghost followed us when we moved. I haven't actually SEEN anything creepy, but strange things started to happen shortly after we moved into our old house, and they haven't stopped since!
Things wind up "missing", just to "materialize" again weeks later (and when I say materialize, I mean it literally). We completely tore apart the kitchen looking for a check my daughter got for her birthday (moved the refrigerator, stove, even ripped up the vinyl flooring!), and 3 weeks later, it just showed up on the kitchen floor in between my trips to the coffee pot!
Also, lights would turn themselves off (never on), the back door would lock itsself, and kitchen cabinets would open on their own. For example: I'd go into the kitchen for a beer and see a cabinet open, so I'd close it. 10 minutes later I'd go in for a bag of chips, and a different cabinet would be open, so I'd close THAT one. 15 minutes later, I'd go in for another beer, and yet a 3rd cabinet would be open.
It still happens in our "newer" house, but not as frequently. I love anything having to do with the paranormal!
