But not old enough to have seen them in concert!

I was old enough, but never paid to see a concert until I went to MSU. I was able to see Emerson, Lake & Palmer, and
Gary Wright on campus. I almost went to see Blue Oyster Cult, but decided to see them in person at a E. Lansing record store where they were before the concert. I was able to get them to sign an album there. I wish ELP had done the record store promo! I was able to also see the world famous mime Marcel Marceau there in 1978.

I went to see beatlemania at the University of South Fla (when I was a student there) because I missed seeing the Beatles, live in concert, when they were together. I recommend that if you enjoy a group, and they come to your area, and you can afford the tickets... go to the concert! Most are a once in a lifetime experence you will never forget!

Just remember to take earplugs. Most groups are ok, but whene I saw ELP it was at Jenisen Field house (where MSU basketball was played) and it was called the old barn! ELP was super loud and the accoustics in Jenisen resulted in my ears ringing for at least 4 hours AFTER the concert! I have since been to at least 10 concerts, by various groups, and NON were as loud as ELPs! But you never know when it will happen.

In the case of Emerson, Lake & Palmer being super loud...yes! I used to listen to all my rock loud, but that experience drove me crazy! Just try having a loud annoying ringing in your ears that you can't get away from! Even in loud rooms it drove me crazy! It also made it hard to hear other people until the ringing wore off. I know it had to have caused some damage, but so far I have not realized it.

Indoor concerts are loud - or so I've been told.

I've only paid for one concert in my life and I was still in junior high. I didn't pay but it wasn't free. (It was Blink 182 )

I also saw parts of War, America, The Eagles, Peter Frampton, and others in free concerts but hated them since I was an idiot at the time.

I have been to lots of indoor concerts. And you can't hear yourself think half the time. AND YOU WENT TO A BLINK 182 CONCERT!!!! sooo not fair.
