PHOENIX -- Quite a streak, but it's over.

Tigers outfielder Magglio Ordonez was charged with an error in the sixth inning of Sunday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, his first error since April 6 of last year -- a stretch of 180 games.

Occurring on a double that Ordonez was running to his left to cut off, the mistake snapped the longest errorless streak for a Tigers outfielder since Al Kaline's 242 consecutive games from April 15, 1970 to July 2, 1972.

Let's hope Maggs goes another 180 without making an error

Even the AZ FSN announcers were surprised that they gave him an error. They indicated that he was lucky to get to the ball and knock it down, without it going to the wall. They said they would not have classed it an error.

When I saw that ball (at the game) I thought it looked like an error. I saw a replay and still thought so.

Then again, the way scorers score things a lot of plays that should be errors aren't so it's hard to tell what is an error. This could have gone either way.

All streaks hafta end sometime! Way to go Campeon, though!

It was a clean error. Maggs should have made that play.

Maggs just does not have the speed anymore to get to those balls in RF. Great bat, so-so fielding.

Well for the record Go according to that article he'd went 180 games without an error. Kinda better than so-so. He just makes it look easy cause he's that good. That just my opinion though and I have heard other people say the same thing so to each their own I guess .

I'm not saying he is a bad fielder, he has just slowed down, or was like the rest of the team, "just not trying as hard anymore." In the last two games he seemed faster again. Go figure!

Maggs is still a better than average player.
