| Back from the game! I didn't stay for the fireworks but I could see them as I walked back to my motel. As expected, they were fireworks and therefore not worth seeing. As for the stadium, it's pretty bland looking. I'll post pictures but not until tomorrow. The computer is set up in the bathroom since there's no plugs elsewhere and that stupid fan that bathrooms have is driving me nuts. The centerfield scoreboard is absolutely amazing. Easily the best scoreboard man has ever created. It has a giant HD monitor. On the left is tons of stats (by tons I mean the usual ones and then stuff like SLG, OPS, BB, K, 3B, etc.) and some info on the batter. On the right is the defensive alignment and info as to who's on what base along with pitcher stats. There are also scoreboards for the sole purpose of telling you the lineup so you always know who's due up, etc. There is a giant K tracker which not only has giant K's but also tells you how many K's the game has had and how many K's the Dbacks have all year. The fans were so-so. There weren't many there but they were polite. Nobody was rude to me although I was this close to strangling the two kids behind me to death. God were they annoying. Just yelling and screaming stupid crap all game long "hit it like a man!" etc. Half the time they were cheering for a guy that batted like 3 batters ago. Maybe I'm crazy but it seems like very few people arrived late (then again very few arrived period) or left early. People didn't even seem to get up out of their seats often! Another interesting feature is the vendors sold beer. I've never seen a guy walking around selling alcohol in any of the 5 CA parks or at the Staples Center, HP Pavillion, or Candlestick Park.....or the Rose Bowl or LA Coliseum (I think that's all the places I've been to). Overall, what did I miss? Let me know and I'll report back on it. Oh yeah, large beer is $8.00. Concessions seemed about average in price and they don't have a must-eat item (e.g. SF Garlic Fries, LA Dodger Dog, etc.). Oh yeah, they don't have souvenir soda cups I buy those at every stadium. Here the souvenir cup is just a big plastic cup that says Pepsi all over it. No mention of the Dbacks or baseball. For those of you that are a little slow, they serve Pepsi, not Coke there. | |

| Okay, here's two pictures. Up first, everyone's least favorite pitching coach with their favorite pitcher with a 6+ ERA. If you look closely at said pitcher you can see he chews tobacco :puke2: Up next is everyone's favorite $6 Million bench player during between-inning warmups. Notice the high socks, or lack thereof. | |

Maybe I like Granderson better than Verlander As far as I can tell, he doesn't chew tobacco. He's more fan-friendly. He signed a card for me through the mail super fast. Verlander hasn't signed for me in 2 tries. Granderson, despite a terrible slum and a batting average of not much, STILL has an OPS+ over 100 (like 116 or so). All his XBH's will do that. If you notice my thingy on the side my favorite Tiger is Granderson and Verlander, not just Verlander like before

How do you know :haha: Still, it's gross. And he does kind of piss me off how he won't sign stuff for fans whereas Granderson will. I mean if not for the fans it doesn't matter that they can throw a baseball better than most people. I mean if not for baseball, the ability to throw a small spherical object with great precision very quickly won't get you anywhere in life.

I'm guessing :haha: But yeah, the second thing would make me irritated with him and I agree with TigerLily, he just looks cocky every since the no-hitter. Granderson is just an awesome human being plain and simple.

| Yeah he is. Not that I care about charity work all that much, but all Granderson does all offseason is charity crap. Verlander on the other hand....who knows what he does? LSD? Coke? Heroin? Chewing Tobacco?
At least one of those gets a yes!
