Buster

I think that would be the name of the dog I want. I wish I could get one, if I do it will be a Husky. They are so awesome. I dont really like Buster though. Does anyone have any better names? Maybe Jonesy lol.

Jonesy is cool! I named the kitten I found in November Casey!

I wanted to name my hamster Paws. Maybe you could name it Tiger. You could even name it Todd.

Buster....we named our Boxer Buster. He's quite dead now. His ashes are on our piano.

Good Lord Cat Poor Buster

We have strange names for our cats. We had a black one and a white one show up this winter and I let them in cause I'm a sucker for a stray and we named the black one Little Black Sambo and the white one Ivory. They were supposed to be ebony and ivory but ebony didn't stick, Sambo did lol. And then a few weeks later, we had another black cat show up at the door and, yes, I let him in too and my husband says "Who are you? Cousin Zeek?" and it stuck, he's now Zeek


We also have one named C3PO and one E.T.

ha! cute! I've always ended up with names ending in -y or -ey because I read somewhere they don't respond as well to a single-syllable name.

Really? I haven't heard that before. I'm not sure I believe that though because Zeek is the ONLY one who EVER comes when he's called. The others just look at me like "Aren't you going to bribe me with a can of meat first?"

We also had a rat named Montee (or something like that. It's dead, too).

I omitted all fish as we never named them and forget what they were named. We don't live on a farm or anything, we live in downtown in town larger than the US average. We just happen to have lot of animals and a reasonably large lot for our part of town.

In 3 years of working I only called in sick once - the day after Buster died.

My boss really pissed me off. Here's our conversation at 6 AM (I was supposed to work at 11 am that day, he got there at 6 AM hence my early call):

"There was a death in the family"
"Who'd you kill?"
"No one. Goodbye"

What the hell kind of response is that? What if my mom would have died or something?

Yeah, but he probably wouldn't get as upset if family members died. He lived in a 2 bedroom apartment with his 20 year old wife (he was 36 at the time) and their six children (yeah, she had 6 kids by age 20!). He made $10.50 an hour working at Carl's Jr. and she made $8.00 an hour at Wal-Mart.

On the plus side, you can get a 2 bedroom apartment in Paso Robles for as cheap as $600 or so unlike the $1,750 it'd cost in Westwood.
