I hate to see Tiger Stadium torn down! But

if they are gonna do it, they should blow it up: That would be better than tearing it down by wrecking ball; Poof and it is all gone! As JJ used to say on Good Times: DYNO-MITE! LOL!

Yeah, but which place is better:

Tiger Stadium or Joe Louis Arena? I've seen the outside of both. Joe Louis Arena looked kind of cool, but it's no Tiger Stadium. I'll by Olympia Stadium was better anyways....

Besides, it's only from the 1970s! Mellon Arena (Pit) and Madison Square Garden (NY) are older...

Speaking of Olympia Stadium, have you been there lately? Supposedly the U.S. National Guard's Olympia Armory stands on the site. An historical marker was posted inside the armory commemorating the Olympia.

I never saw the Olympia! I didn't see my first Red Wings game until about 1985 or 86! 86 I think! I was like 8

It opened the same day as Fenway Park which is the oldest. It's tied for the oldest still standing park. Since it's no longer used it doesn't really count as the oldest....I mean there's plenty of older parks, they're just gone....
