I never bashed Cabrera, I was mainly just disappointed that he was hitting so poorly to start. I knew it would just be a matter of time before he started hitting, and that time is now.

I call those people the knee-jerks. Now that the Tigers are doing what everyone expected them to do, they are nowhere to be found. I know our pitching is shaky but everyone forgets that so far they've pitched well enough that had the offense backed them up with runs, we could be in first place right now.

today would be a good day to give Pudge a blow the rest of this game. This is where not having a backup catcher hurts. We put Inge behind the plate and its almost like punishment to him. Plus, if he gets hurt, we'd be down to Rayburn behind the plate (emergency catcher).

He gets people out, occassionally, but the worst pitcher in the league still gets 70% of the batters out.

The bottom line is that he has no movement, so he is a hitters dream. You know that every hitter in the league licks their chops when he is called in.

He's got a good arm, he just has little movement. He and Todd Jones throw as straight as an arrow.

And, well...even Mario Mendoza could hit a straight fastball.

I would defend Grilli's arm because he's got a good one but, his issue is psychological. Pitching and throwing are two different things. He just doesnt have a big league mentality.

Looked like he calmed down in the 8th. I think it's mental with him. When sh*t's up a creek, he's no better than a pitching machine. He does have some confidence. Would I like to seem pitch somewhere else? You bet, but it's what we have right now. If he doesn't allow a run in the 9th, it's another "decent" outing.

Plus, Progressive Field reminds me of Municipal Stadium with all those empty seats. There weren't many to begin with when the game started either.

Yep, tied for last in the Central But, not for long. Personally, I'll have a little more class then to run over to Cleveland's board and start bashing like some Indian's fan's Ive read on here.
