Pitching matchup

DET: LHPKenny Rogers (0-3, 6.75 ERA)
Rogers' 0-3 record to start a season is the first for him since 1991. After throwing a quality start in his season debut on April 2, he has struggled with his command in back-to-back outings, the more recent being a loss at Chicago in which he allowed four runs on seven hits with four walks in four-plus innings. He has a stellar 3.32 ERA to go with a 6-4 record for his career at the Rogers Centre.

TOR: LHPDavid Purcey (0-0, -.-- ERA)
The Blue Jays recalled Purcey from Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday and he's scheduled to make his Major League debut with a start against the Tigers on Friday. The left-hander is making a spot start for right-hander A.J. Burnett, who is being held back until Sunday after he made a relief appearance in Wednesday's 14-inning marathon against Texas. This season at Triple-A, the 25-year-old Purcey has gone 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA in three starts.

the pitching coaches for messing with ALL our pitchers approaches this year! Yes, they can throw some pitches better, yet now they can't throw their regular stuff!
