Thats sad. Seriously as soon as the team starts doing good, it's a sell out, but before that people don't even care.

It is pissing me off! Cleveland Indians sold out 455 games in a row but we only can sell out on Opening Day] at least the only sellout early in the season.


I was watching the Red Wings Game[ last night] and tickets are still available for the Red Sox next month.

Sad, but sign of the times. People come to the ballpark to feel good! not like they've been through the wringer!

Funny; 12,000 seats for TIGERFEST are gone in minutes but 10,000 people [ Tigers have nearly 30,000 seats purchased by season ticket holders] can't buy up tickets for the Red Sox Series

lots of plans can fall through...also people have to work! now I almost wish I stayed on night shift so I could watch afternoon games!

We can't get a sellout for the Red Sox? I guess fans in Cleveland are better than Detroit!

And they have no problem playing night baseball in April either.

With so many layoffs and people losing there jobs, I was surprised that opening day was sold out. Where do you expect these people to get the money? (Let me know so I can get to more games too!).

I personally am a firepole dancer in a Detroit casino so I can afford Tigers tickets!

There are People that got money to spend! Some guy [ in an Detroit News article about the new seats at Comerica] paid 320 dollars for 4 Opening Day 15 dollar tickets.

yeah. I spent $120 for 4 tickets for later this month. He marked 'em up $13 each.
