TV Shows Of The 60's
A trip down memory Lane
This is a great look back at some of the many classic TV shows of the 60's. All of these started their run in the 1960's. A lot of these shows still air today on TV Land and Nick at Night. Music is MacArthur Park by Richard Harris.

Didn't the woman, who played Mary Ann, get sentenced for having marijuana this week?
I think the late Bob Denver also got busted for weed!
They must have been toking it up on the set of Gilligan's Island!

I haven't gotten into old TV yet. I probably shouldn't try for a while as I'm quite busy with old movies and music. If I like old movies I don't see why I wouldn't like old TV.

I love old TV, it's so fun to look at how things have changed. You see all the old clothes, hair dos, technology, lol.

Movies do the same thing though. Most movies are only about 2 hours long. Most TV shows are 22-45 minutes per episode and have tons of episodes (any good show has 100+ and any great show has 200+).

If you want to get into old tv shows, I recommend Get Smart and The Dick Van Dyke Show. Get Smart is in color and the Dick Van Dyke Show is in black and white, so if you don't want to go too far back start with Get Smart.

True, movies are the same way. I don't really get into movies much, I like things that continue so you really get to know the characters.

That's why I always like TV shows, you really get to know the characters. Speaking of TV shows, I'm really liking movies - how is the TV show Alfred Hitchcock Presents? Hitchcock didn't direct most episodes, but his movies are (mostly) amazing. Is the show equally good?

To understand Alfred Hitchcock the following interview is interesting:
Hitchcock interview from 1964 (part 1) Part 1 of a BBC Television interview with Alfred Hitchcock first shown on "Monitor" (1964).
Hitchcock interview from 1964 (part 2) Part 2 of a BBC Television interview with Alfred Hitchcock first shown on "Monitor" (1964).
