YIKES! Wind blowing out to left at 29 mph! Sounds like there should be some balls flying into the bleachers with Maggs and Sheff at the plate....IF Burnett can find the strike zone that is! LOL

From the Yahoo box score inning summary:

- C. Granderson walked
- C. Granderson stole second

Here's to hoping we see more of that this year. Granderson needs to run more. then this:

- P. Polanco singled to right, C. Granderson scored
- P. Polanco stole second

That is just plain insulting - running on Burnett with reckless abandon - I love it!!!!!

Would you feel worse about starting the year by striking out your first five times like Monroe, or popping up in back to back innings with the bases loaded and nobody out like Casey just did?

Nothing wrong with Pudge's single - but it underscores why Sheff was brought in this year as Pudge was hitting in the 3 hole last year.

"I. Rodriguez singled to left, M. Ordonez to third, C. Guillen to second"

We saw that a lot last year - runners not scoring from 2nd on his hits.

That was too close for comfort... geesh!!! Tell Rodney to put his cap on straight. I am sick of him giving up all these runs. Grilli is shaky as well. Oh well, a win is a win, but I would much rather see them win 10-2. Let's go get 'em again tomorrow. Hopefully the pen will stop the leak in the dam.

Thats not a leak - thats a major breach.

They may have to shut the dam down for a couple of days to repair it (i.e the starters getting us deep into games) - lol.

We need 7 strong ones from Verlander tomorrow.

Yeah, the paint will probably peel in the clubhouse. I'd hate to be at the receiving end of one of his tirades.

Ugghhhh I had to leave for work just when Grilli and Fernan-Doh! started throwing BP to the Jays...but I heard every painstaking minute of it in the car. And my boss wonders why I'm so on edge when I get to work....geeeesh! LOL Fortunately....Jonesy got the job done and we came out on top. It wasn't pretty by ANY means.

The wind speed was according to MLB's Gameday. I was suprised we didn't see more HR's to Left with the power Maggs, C-Mo and Sheff have!

True enough. it was a win but not a pretty one. As I said in another post, I wouldn't want to have ben in the clubhouse....
