I thought this might be kind of fun so let's give it a try.

We'll play a game of chess through the forums. It'll take forever but that's the fun of it.

The rules:

• All standard chess rules apply (this is the untimed version obviously)
  
• You can only play for one side. Once you make a move for that side you are stuck on that side. I'll keep track of what side you're on in this post.

wikipedia says this is one of the worst opening moves you can make. An American was famous for using it. No wonder Americans are terrible at chess - only one world champion in the history of the "sport" (Bobby Fischer who is no longer an American).
