2009 Preview: Given that the three players ahead of Hanson are all active, it is unlikely he'd move ahead of any of them soon. George Blanda is 250ish points ahead of Hanson so barring the greatest season in NFL history, he will remain in 7th place for 2009. He could move ahead of Blanda in 2010 if he puts together two very good seasons.

Hanson will probably get around 100 points next year (122 last year, 117 2 years ago). That would move him ahead of Norm Johnson for 7th all-time. He will likely end up in the top five all-time when he retires. Is he a HOFer? Only one pure kicker is currently in the HOF.

Do they sell those or do you have to custom order them? Having never been to a Lions home game I can't really tell if Hanson is all that popular. He's the longest-serving Lion and in my opinion HOF-worthy (I believe kickers...and even punters) should have a place in the HOF. Despite all that I wonder if he gets much of an ovation from the fans.

If they don't you can buy a nameless jersey and have them add his name. I highly doubt they'll have Hanson in stock but then again who knows.

Hanson has been around forever!

Why spend 100 or 200 bucks for a jersey for a player that may become a free agent or get traded.

Hanson probably finish his career in Detroit.

He needs to be like Andersen and play 'til he's 47 (or older). While he's at it he needs to be like Blanda and play QB - can't be worse than Kitna.
