Journey - Don't Stop believing
Released - 1981

Today, it is considered the band's signature song.

The song reached #8 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock chart, and #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Possibly due to the Detroit mention in the song, all professional teams in the Detroit area play it extensively at their stadiums since the first release in 1981. It was played during every game of the 2006 World Series at Comerica Park, and is also heard during Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Pistons games.

Lipps Inc. - Funkytown (lyrics)

"Funkytown" is a 1980 song made by the disco band Lipps Inc. The song expresses the pinings for a metaphorical place that keeps "me movin', keeps me groovin' with some energy". It was a number-one hit in many countries. The song was also known as the song that saved Disco and also hinted towards Nu-Disco.

The song was a worldwide hit reaching number one in the United States, Australia, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, Israel, New Zealand, Norway, Spain and West Germany. "Funkytown" reached #2 in the United Kingdom Singles Chart in the summer of 1980.
