There once was a pitcher named Grilli
his name was so goofy and silly
he pitched pretty bad
which made everyone sad
so they shipped his behind off to Philly

The Tigers re-signed Kenny Rogers
I thought he might go to the Dodgers
I hoped that he'd stay
but can he still play?
We'll need some wins from our old codgers

Some pitching is what we most need
without it, we'll certainly bleed
To make this not so
to the meetings we'll go
and find one that's well pedigreed

Baseball, oh baseball,
How I do love and miss thee,
Let me count the ways!

(... I'm sure Shakespeare would've liked baseball if it existed in his time...)

Okay, let's try:

Arriba los Tigres!
I'm tired of the Rays!
Ojala que ganen
I'll cheer from my den!
Rodriguez es el receptor
He'll hit more, more, more!
Verlander es el mejor
I hope Emily isn't a whore!

====================

How's that?

LOL! I had to be careful with my Spanish. I picked simple sentences so there's less of a chance I'd make a mistake. It's tricky to rhyme English and Spanish...

It's even trickier to read when you only speak English!

Oh, I can translate it:

Go Tigers!
I'm tired of the Rays!
I hope they win
I'll cheer from my den!
Rodriguez is the catcher
He'll hit more, more, more!
Verlander is the best
I hope Emily isn't a whore!

==============

That doesn't rhyme at all. Here's a rhyming version based on that:

Go Tigers!
I'm tired of them being losers!
I hope they win
I'll cheer, it's not a sin!
Rodriguez is the catcher
I hope he runs quicker!
Verlander is the best
I hope he likes Emily's chest!
