There was a group called Rockapella
there music was soulful and swella
they lost 2 great guys
but they still harmonize
and the new Bass sings lower than Ella

My school has a concert tonight
I hope that we make it sound right
If we sing out of key
my job's history
and my boss will try starting a fight

The concert was really a smash
the mood was so much like a bash
they sang and they danced
and no one was de-pantsed
and our school made a whole lot of cash!!

The meatballs and sghetti weren't great
I left quite a bit on my plate
I opted instead
to eat just Garlic bread
and the smelly bad breath was my fate

Here's a poem. It's in free verse (or something). No rhyme.

Go Michigan
Buckeyes suck
Go Blue
Censored OSU

I suppose. It's all for not though (or is not spelled like naught or something in that phrase?)

Analysis of the poem says there are 4, 3, 2, 4 syllables per line (that's nothing special). It has a ABCC rhyme scheme. That's nothing great. Suck and Censored rhyme.

Not much of a poem. I'd give it an F+/F

As requested, a repost:

(My apologies to those with other beliefs.............)

Twas the night before Christmas at Comerica Park
The seats were all empty, the stadium was dark.

The helmets were hung in the dugout with care
In hopes that Spring Training soon would be there

The Tigers were home, all snug in their beds
While visions of pennants danced in their heads.

And Mario in his jersey, and Rod in his cap
Had just settled down for an offseason nap

When out on the field in the dead of the night
Came the roar of a crowd, who was nowhere in sight

Away to my seat I ran like the wind
Behind the home dugout, with family and friends

The new fallen snow that covered the grass
Blinded my eyes and froze my a$$

When what to my football-weary eyes should there be
But a field full of men wearing old English “D”

Then in an instant the field came alive
With our handsome Tigers who led one to five

More rapid than bullets the pitches he threw
It must be Zumaya, his arm good as new

Now Polanco, now Edgar, now Bonderman and Grandy
On Carlos, on Pudge, on Todd and Verland-y

To the edge of the warning track, leaping up on the wall
Who could believe Curtis caught that fly ball?

As the green grass of the outfield met dirt nice and dry
Joel picked off a runner and Maggs caught a fly

Then into the dugout our happy boys flew
With their gloves and their hats and their big smiles too

They were dressed in home white with a blue letter “D”
Their clothes were pristine, not a spot on a knee

The lineup was posted, it was left up to fate
Curtis grabbed his big bat and stolled to the plate

The butt of a Marlboro Jim held tight in his lips
He face was serene, his hands on his hips

In the blink of an eye, Grandy stood on third base
Poli stepped up next, a grin on his face

And on down the lineup, with hit after hit
‘Til they batted around, and weren’t through yet

As a pitch came hurling towards Magglio’s nose
He made a great swing, and the crowd then arose

The ball cleared the fence by at least a good mile
Maggs took his trot and crossed home with a smile

And I heard Maggs exclaim as he took his bow
Happy Spring Training, it’s just three months now!

Its getting so tough waiting for April's spring
we know that this year is our turn for a ring

we've run out of patience, its really quite clear
that 2008 is the TIGERS big year

The season will start with our team in first place
we'll stay there all year with our fathers good grace

as months quickly pass with our goal still in sight
our Tigers keep winning, they'll play hard and fight

by years end we'll all be so proud of our team
and win after win will be just like a dream

the playoffs approach and full speed towards the plate
the World Series Champs of 2008!!

It's almost December and Christmas is coming
the Tigers can win is the song that I'm humming

no snow's on the ground cause I live in the South
"Can't wait for Spring Training", the words leave my mouth

soon over in Lakeland our boys will prepare
for the best season ever, all others beware

when April gets near we will cheer and we'll scream
the World Series Champs is a Tiger fans dream
