I'm still holding out for a Ty Cobb autograph...or more realistically a Sparky Anderson and/or Lou Whitaker 8X10. I haven't found any to my liking so far.

I'd also like a Steve Yzerman and Barry Sanders 8X10. I want a Verlander autograph but not on an 8X10...he isn't worthy of an 8X10 on my wall (yet) as that's reserved for the greatest of the great. I went ahead and bought a Mickey Lolich 8X10 a while back and that's pushing it.

Lolich is pretty much what I go by - anyone better than him is eligible, anyone worse is not.

With that said, I have no problem with autographs of people worse than Lolich, they just can't be photos. The bar for non-photo autographs is pretty low. I mean, I have Nook Logan, Jordan Tata, and Fernando Rodney's autographs!

Tom Brady (again, would require a UM uniform...breaking the passing TD record this season would help his cause).

That's a pretty good list. My dad starting to hang up pitchers in the basement. I'm too lazy to go see who he has. I knew, just forgot. I have a couple (Weaver and Ripkin Jr.). Don't really know why I bought a Ripkin one though...

Quite a list indeed! Too bad there's so many I'll never get! I've NEVER seen a Cobb, Crawford, Heilmann, Hughie Jennings, or a few other 8X10's at ANY price. I've never seen a Hughie Jennings autograph of any type for any price!

Thought so. I should clarify, I HAVE seen 8X10's of those guys, just never SIGNED 8X10s. My avatar picture can be bought as an 8X10 all day long.

Where I go to Red Wings games, I always park on the Cobo Roof; inside Cobo, they have the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame: Paintings and plaques of athletes, coaches and announcers! Never get tired of looking at them!
