ATLANTA -- An unidentified man was seriously injured near the conclusion of Wednesday night's game at Turner Field.

The Braves revealed that a 25-year-old white male fell several hundred feet and landed on the Field Level concourse behind home plate. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital with critical head injuries.

Atlanta Police spokesman Ron Campbell told The Associated Press that the fan fell four levels. There was some speculation that he fell while sliding on a handrail.

Mark Bowman is a reporter for MLB.com. This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.

This is starting to happen way too much. Remember that guy from the Mets game? Thats 2 right there, 2 too many for a season.

Man dies from fall at Braves' ballpark
Associated Press

ATLANTA -- A 25-year-old man died from injuries suffered after falling about 150 feet down a stairwell at Turner Field during Wednesday night's game between the Atlanta Braves and New York Mets.

The senior investigator with the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office, Mark Guilbeau, said Thursday that the man who fell was Justin Hayes of Cumming, Ga.

Guilbeau says an autopsy will be done.

Atlanta Police Department spokesman Ronald Campbell said Hayes was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with serious head injuries.
